Name of father Conrad Schafer

NOTE: According to Jack Schafer, in 1893, while on board the train from South Dakota to Oregon, the infant daughter of Conrad Schafer and his wife died. The families feared removal from the train had they revealed the infant’s death. They kept the death quiet and reached their destination at Turner Oregon. The infant, Pauline Schafer b. 1892, is buried in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
Conrad Schafer was a son of Johann Heinrich Schafer, who is also buried at Cloverdale Cemetery.
