OBITUARY:
Karl B. Wipper, 74, of 8621 Wipper Road SE, died Monday at his home.
He was a native of Turner and was a lifetime diversified farmer and sheep breeder. He served several years as sheep superintendent at the Oregon State Fair and judged adult and 4-H sheep at various fairs in Oregon for 20 years. He served as president and director of several state, county and local farm and livestock groups.
He served on boards of education for the Cloverdale Elementary School and Cascade High School for 23 years.
He was chairman of the Marion County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation committee, president of the Marion County Lamb Show board of directors, director of the Marion County Fair Board and on the advisory committee for the Marion County Extension Service.
