AUMSVILLE—Howard Clark, 78, died Wednesday.
He was born in Fort Scott, Kan., and moved to the Willamette Valley in 1933. He served in the Army during World War II and was a mill worker for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, rodeos and was a member of the 70th Infantry Division Association.
Survivors include his wife, Grace, whom he married in 1941; son, Jerry of Salem; daughters, Marlyn Newburn of Lebanon, Melba Davidson of Detroit; sisters, Lovena Stain of Halsey, Dorris Karg of Aumsville and Joyce Bolton of Tigard; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be 9 a.m. to noon today in Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton. At his request no services will be held. Interment will be in Marion Friends Cemetery. Contributions: charity of choice.
