OBITUARY:
LOFTISS - At his home near Junction City, of typhoid fever, on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1891. Geo. W. Loftiss, after an illness of only nine days.
He grew to manhood in the vicinity of Turner, where he lived until recently. He leaves a wife and child, a mother, sister and four brothers to mourn the loss of one so near to them in this life. He was 27 years of age, nearly, and though seemingly cut down in the midst of greatest opportunities of life, yet all things in God's hands will work out for the best. George was well known and highly esteemed for his integrity and straightforward course in life. Many friends followed his remains to its last resting place, the Hunsaker cemetery.
